Support that fits your fertility plan
Bring your treatment calendar, medicines, supplements and your fertility clinic’s instructions. Discuss what you hope to address, whether that is tension, disrupted routines or another concern.
Scheduling and treatment choices are considered around your medical care.
Treatment choices around your existing care
Lia may recommend acupuncture based on your assessment. Other modalities are considered individually, with attention to your treatment stage and possible pregnancy.
You do not need to receive moxa or take herbs to have an acupuncture consultation.
An honest conversation about outcomes
Acupuncture is not an established way to increase IVF live-birth rates. It is not a substitute for fertility evaluation, and pregnancy cannot be promised.
Here, the purpose is to discuss individual supportive care alongside your fertility team.
Herbs and pregnancy require extra review
Tell Lia if pregnancy is possible or confirmed. Do not add herbal products to fertility medicines without review by your fertility clinician.
Acupuncture, herbs and moxibustion are separate decisions; they are not automatically combined.
Common questions
Can I book during an IVF or IUI cycle?
Call with your treatment schedule and ask about suitability. Follow your fertility clinic’s guidance; no specific transfer-day result is promised.
Does insurance cover fertility acupuncture?
Benefits may depend on the diagnosis, service and provider. Ask Rio Acupuncture to check visits with Lia Kim and confirm fertility-related exclusions before booking.
When will I need a follow-up or reassessment?
Timing depends on your treatment progress. Lia reviews your response and current needs to decide when to reassess, adjust the plan or arrange another visit.
